Filipp Jenikäe
Born in 1987, Filipp Jenikäe’s journey into the world of art was unconventional. Though raised in a family of art enthusiasts—his mother an art teacher and his sister a student of art history—Jenikäe initially followed a different path, studying Law and Political Science at UAB Barcelona, before moving on to Business Administration in the Netherlands. It wasn’t until later in life, after the conclusion of his childhood dream to play professional basketball, that he discovered his passion for painting.
While living in the vibrant, creative atmosphere of Berlin, Jenikäe immersed himself in the art world, finding inspiration that would shape his distinctive style. Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, his work captures the essence of popular culture, drawing from the achievements of athletes, musicians, and the rich social scenes of the cities he's called home. His paintings breathe life into urban landscapes, nightclubs, bars, and backyards, weaving together the threads of his experiences and observations.
